The Peacebuilding Centre for the Horn of Africa (PCHA) helps develop the capacity and performance of national associations, political parties and local non-governmental organizations (NGOs). 

PCHA promotes institutional forms of action, goal oriented   planning and strategic commitment to sensible policy response. 

Within the Horn, PCHA prioritizes organizations in countries undergoing sever crisis. Our special focus on Somalia and Sudan acknowledges that state polices, bred instability. 

At PCHA we believe that future opportunities to consolidate stability & ensure democratic transformation in the Horn depend largely on the following:  

a)      Revitalizing civil society. 

b)     Transforming armed protest movements into broad based effective groups that can address grievances, inspire communities and respond to their needs. 

c)      Supporting institutionalized collective efforts to design proactive programs and strategies that prevent protest groups from becoming tools for fanaticism, racism, instability and chaos.
